The founders  of "Shruthi" - Birmingham Dr.Chandra & Harita who had organised our performance at Alabama said

 " One cannot describe your performance ....it is only to be experienced, you have taken Art to a very High level. You both are like....Sachin Tendulkar of Dance , Michael Jordan of Dance , Dr.Balamurali Krishna of Dance ..."

 We couldn't agree as, these are all THE GREAT MASTERS...we are only humble servants of Art.

TOUR UPDATE : Week 03

We are happy to let you know that the concert at Dallas went very well. It was a sold out performance.

All the young dancers from Dallas were exceptional and the program received standing ovation.

University of North Texas.

It was mesmerizing.  Truly.  And the faces of the students while they danced expressed great joy about what they accomplished in the workshop.  I think a repeat performance and workshop in the near future is a must.

I also think I speak for the audience members who were seated around me as well.  I have not heard so much praise and actual gasps at both the beauty and athleticism of Nirupama's and Rajendra's dancing.  The hairs on my arm even stood up during the monsoon number when they made it rain in the auditorium!

Please convey my wishes and safe travels to them.  It was a wonderful experience to watch them perform.

The Ambassador of United States of America Nancy Powell
along with the US Consul General Jennifer McIntyre,

The Japanese Counsel General & a host of high officials from the consulate visited our Dance space to see our program on July 6th 2012.

What a Privilege ! What an honor ! 

It was sooooooooooo wonderful to have such great dignitaries at our own dance studio ...enjoying the space,feeling at home with us yet being soooo gracious .They were taking pictures for their own collection. They loved our Tree, The Krishna, Ganesha & the dancers & of course the dance program which was specially put together for them.

The Ambassador is a VVVIP representing the President of United States & hence for security reasons the information was asked to be kept away but Gandhibazaar was wondering what was going on ? because , the entire street was blocked , all traffic stopped & the street & our premises were full of security personnels & police officers :)

The Ambassador had several appointments during the day & was supposed to stay only for an hour at our place but they stayed for two full hours , relaxed , enjoyed & beautifully expressed their joy of the performance & their experience at Abhinava.

The Consul General Jennifer McIntyre seemed extremely happy & even joined us in the interactive session.

She was very sweet to extend a special invitation to us to attend the 236th American Independence celebrations at Taj Westend on 7th July 2012.

Even at this gathering they were talking about the dance performance to many others :)

WOW ! this is something completely new to Abhinava.

Kudos to Art , Kudos to our Culture , 

Kudos to all the family of Abhinava.

Our deep felt gratitude to the US Ambassador Nancy Powell , US Counsel General Jennifer McIntyre & the members of US Consulate.
