The Ambassador of United States of America Nancy Powell
along with the US Consul General Jennifer McIntyre,

The Japanese Counsel General & a host of high officials from the consulate visited our Dance space to see our program on July 6th 2012.

What a Privilege ! What an honor ! 

It was sooooooooooo wonderful to have such great dignitaries at our own dance studio ...enjoying the space,feeling at home with us yet being soooo gracious .They were taking pictures for their own collection. They loved our Tree, The Krishna, Ganesha & the dancers & of course the dance program which was specially put together for them.

The Ambassador is a VVVIP representing the President of United States & hence for security reasons the information was asked to be kept away but Gandhibazaar was wondering what was going on ? because , the entire street was blocked , all traffic stopped & the street & our premises were full of security personnels & police officers :)

The Ambassador had several appointments during the day & was supposed to stay only for an hour at our place but they stayed for two full hours , relaxed , enjoyed & beautifully expressed their joy of the performance & their experience at Abhinava.

The Consul General Jennifer McIntyre seemed extremely happy & even joined us in the interactive session.

She was very sweet to extend a special invitation to us to attend the 236th American Independence celebrations at Taj Westend on 7th July 2012.

Even at this gathering they were talking about the dance performance to many others :)

WOW ! this is something completely new to Abhinava.

Kudos to Art , Kudos to our Culture , 

Kudos to all the family of Abhinava.

Natya Darshan : MBA Students from USA at ADC

What a beautiful experience to share our art , our energies with the students from

Fox School of Business at Temple University, Philadelphia, USA ! 

This study tour was to provide a cultural experience combined with an understanding of how businesses are done in India across the mileu of MNC’s, start ups, grass root enterprises, entrepreneurs and innovators. 

Our aim was to offer them an enrichment through entertainment.

They were SUPER THRILLED by ADC's passion ,presentation,vision & execution.

We spoke about Art & Culture & shared beautiful stories to support the concept of Art experience in India.

It was interesting to see how they connected with the beauty,joy & divine elements of Indian dance, its enriching story telling elements through demonstrations of our choreographies ; Varsha ( The Magic of Monsoon) & Rasalila.The JOY of dance was infectious as they kept smiling all the time.

One Boy even expressed that he cannot believe he was smiling all through the 3 hours.

They simply were fascinated by the hand gestures & eye movements.

Their energies & enthusiasm at once went high as they started to learn Indian dance moves.

While the discipline of classical brought focus the jollyness of folk dancing just made them let go of their inhibitions & they all became like children.

Their group leader said the team which was diverse & had not actually interacted with each.

 The experience of Dance with Abhinava bonded the team with beautiful & loving energies  

They were so much relishing the music, the expressions , the emotions & while they danced they simply connected with the core of their inner being.

All geographical boundaries had disappeared ,all linguistic barriers got erased , their bodies spoke only one language , the language of harmony ,they became part of one universal energy of ANANDA.

They became overwhelmed with beauty ,energy & Bliss.

The credits go to the Power of our Dance ! & the talents & passion of our Abhinava Dancers.

Thank you girls ! for your incessant efforts in understanding the essence of dance ,of human capacities & your generosity in sharing them...

You did not just share but YOU INSPIRED ! 

Rajendra & myself are truly fortunate to have Abhinava & the talents of Abhinava as the instruments of GOD's Energies.

MAGICAL MAYA DIDI :

ADC had the greatest privilege to have the Legendary Guru.Dr.Maya Rao fondly addressed as Maya didi share her experiences of Abhinaya with the students of Abhinava.

She brought the delicate nuances of Virahothkantitha & Vasakasajjika Nayika through two beautiful Tumris which she made us all sing & dance. It was the most memorable times for all the students.

Students who attended the workshop are welcome to share their experiences.
